 Our Students FOMP (Friends of Mike Parker) Dive Club™ FOMP is a dues free, not for profit dive club whose goal is to provide members with camaraderie and a structure for safe, fun diving while teaching about environmental protection and preservation of coral reefs and marine animals in tropical environments, especially the Caribbean and Cayman Islands. Our Staff All staff instructors are highly trained, caring and passionate teachers who love to pass on their SCUBA knowledge to students.

Our 12-person staff is directed by Mike Parker, founder of SPE Dive School, LLC and Master Instructor since 1972. All of our staff instructors are graduates of SPE Dive School and DC-area professionals just like our students. Staff members include hyperbaric chamber technicians, medical professionals, computer programmers, consultants, attorneys, artists, writers, and a George Washington University professor!
